Hello my current Xperia U version is 2.3.7 (update 6.0.B.3.188). When I connect my device, from Windows devices i click update software and select model. Then this information is shown:

Latest available software: 6.1.1.B.1.10

Release date: 2012-09-28

But when i click Check For Updates, application tells me that my software is up to date.

Tried same thing with PC companion.

This is really disgusting.I have been a loyal customer for sony since last 6 years and everytime i had to face disappointment in such matters.How can a huge company like Sony be so incompetent
(God knows),All the companies are starting to introduce jelly bean for their phones and sony is still struggling to provide ics.I dont feel to buy sony products any more and i have completely lost faith in them.

really confusing. you buy the lowest cost product of a company and imagine to compete with flaships of other OEM's, the entire range of Galaxy S3 has not even got JB, Galaxy S2 has not got JB. Sony is trying best to give updates to allmost all its models.

I agree the fact that sony is trying to give the updates but still S is a lot old phone and Xperia U is learning to stand on its feet ( Just born )

i talked about S2 and S3. entire range of S3 means all varients of S3 in all countries as well as different carriers, not the range as in S,S2,S3.

@ arnab its ok if all of s3 havent received jb updates they have atleast started rolling out but in the present situation i dont think even micromax phone of the same range isnt running ginger bread still.Sony is the last to give out ics and im sure will be the last to give out jelly bean also.And if you forget about comparisions with others what about its promise that they gave to deliver ics by Q3 2012.Its mid Q4 nd still no ICS.WHY DO THEY ALWAYS FAIL TO KEEP THEIR PROMISES.What more can they expect from their efans.Im saying all this because once i was a fan of sony but now i regret that.

ITs sony bro plus last updates means stable updates. See how the indian ics was one of the lasts till now it is good. The french saqed. so maybe ur will be damn good. I may have to flash urs ics be sure to upload one ftf :smileygrin: :smileygrin:
