Can you get itv iplayer on sony internet tv or is it just bbc iplayer at the moment?

Hi, unfortunately ITV Player is not currently available. Sony have been in discussion with ITV about it for a long time, but still no news.

It is curious that on my computer,  from the BBC iPlayer I can access all main UK TV channels such as ITV and Channel 4, but not through the BBC iPlayer on my Sony Smart TV.  I can sit in the same room and watch it on my laptop using the same wifi connection, but not on the TV, it seems a nonsense!  When can we get ITV and Sony to resolve this anomoly?

Apparently, there has been an option on the table for several years for ITV to build a service for Sony, but they have not wanted to for some reason, likely lack of resources and fear of having to support multiple platforms like the BBC have to.
