SMPN100 on a Philips tv

hi all,

can anyone please tell me if the Sony SMPN100 media box will work on a HD Philips TV? i assumed it will, but someone has told me it won't.

No reason why not... SMP has both Component and HDMI out so assuming the Philips has one of those...

What was the reasoning they gave?
