activate the numbers on the right of keyboard?

i bought it in Madagascar (french software) accidentaly someone cahnged the keyboard set up.managed to revert but the numbers on the side are not active. any suggestions?

Try turning on the Number Lock (press the Num Lk key – to the right of F12).
