My new laptop works fine but on testing out the screen with a white background and auto-hiding the windows taskbar I see a smudgy, darker area along the bottom of the screen where it seems not to be lit properly (5 - 10 mm high). If this is just a limitation of the back lighting used then it does not bother me so much. But if it is a fault with my laptop screen I would like to know so I can have it fixed.
Anyone with similar model can perhaps try the same and see how the bottom of the screen appears for them.
