Harddrive upgrade on Vaio VGN S18GP

VaioVGN S18 GP .  I have aupgraded the harddrive to 350 GB . Szstem is win XP pro with service pack II .

The szstem is onlz showing 40gb on C and 90 GB on D .

How can I get to the total 350GB ?

I cannot find anything specific for your model but many early ME/W2K/XP models had an ATA100  Interface limit of 137GB - so the largest hard drive the motherboard could address was 137GB unless 48-bit LBA addressing is possible above this limit.


SP2 often removed this limitation but it is likely the restriction remains in the BIOS - I doubt if there is a Sony BIOS Update available but this is probably your only hope.
