Hello
i have a VGN-AR61M with vista 32 pre-installed..After having problems, i tried to install W 7 64 bit Ultimate.. I did not created recovery discs > Big mistake..not for my personal files, but for divers, etc..
The computer works without motion eye camera, memory stick & pro, eject-button, and the worst is that the programms wich Vaio had, do not exist anymore (VAIO-control center, V-edit components, V-media, V-power management, -my club vaio, V-movie story, V-update, V-recovery center, etc), and Adobe elements, winDVD, Norton 360..
I think that the only installed programms are the ones that W7 have & MS OFFICE 2007..
Any help pls...:smileycry:

As you have found, Sony do not support 64-bit systems on your Vaio.
All the available original and updated drivers and utilities are available for download here but only some are 64-bit: -

If you wanted to keep the original preinstalled software, you should have carried out an UPGRADE to 32-bit Windows 7. As you have carried out a clean install to change to 64-bit, you have lost the preinstalled software and it cannot be downloaded.
a) thanks for your answer
b) Vaio's preinstalled software cannot be downloaded, but could be installed at a SONY Service Center? or with a Sony -recovery cd for AR61M? In other words where and how i can install Vaio's SW?? (if i can..)
c) In W7 package, there are both 32 & 64 bit CDs.. i suppose the next installation will be the 32 bit, am i right?
d) > and last..: Can these installations be done by "clearing, erasing" everything else in my "C" HDD, like my laptop was as i bought it? (without keeping in folders "windows.old" by itself..)
