The battery light on my SZ61 flashes quickly but it will not boot. Any ideas?

Hi,

The last two times when I've tried to boot up my VGN-SZ61WN it won't work.  Instead the battery light just flashes very quickly.  If I press the power button again it just stops flashing for a few seconds then starts again.  Both times the laptop has been plugged in, using a different charger each time.  To get it to work I have had to take the battery out and put it back in again, at which point it booted up fine.  The battery was fully charged each time too.

It seems quite strange.  Anyone got any ideas?

If a battery indicator status blinks fast this usually indicates a battery error, which would expain why your vaio will boot up normally when the battery is removed..

Are you able to run your vaio on battery power.?

Does the battery icon in the system tray indicate that there are any problems.?
