Wireless connection icon

Hi all, weird problem with my T2XP...

On a previous post I said I couldn't get it to recognise a WEP-encrypted network, OK with WPA though.

Kind of sorted now, had to input a WEP key manually (wasn't prompted for it like teh WPA encryption for some reason).

But... the little icon in the toolbar still has a red cross on it, clicking on it tells me I'm not connected to the network. However, I can still surf the net etc, so clearly I am connected! But it will then drop it after about 5 minutes, then randomly re-connect. I have another laptop that remains continually connected whilst this is happening, so I know it's not a problem with the router.

Anyone had a similar experience. Any thoughts?

Ask to Repair the connection. This can solve the problem.

If you can use WPA and Mac Address Filtering do so, it's much safer
