I have just purchased a DAB car stereo (CDX-DAB700U) and need some advice on the mounting of the antenna. As is recommended by the instructions I want to mount the antenna on the passenger side of the windscreen running up and down the post. However the windscreen is short and the little copper wires that have the sticky-back-plastic on them are too long.
My question is whether it is alright to trim these to length so they fit within the dimensions of the windscreen. And whether this would have an impact on the performance?
