Casting in Dolby Atmos

Is it possible to Chromecast Dolby Atmos from Xperia 1 V to HT-A7000 with Dolby Atmos? I know Chromecast with Google TV supports Dolby Atmos but don't know if Android Cast supports Dolby Atmos with enable Dolby Atmos Android devices

found this link online, however I'm not 100% sure they mean Chromecast

"To cast your music with TIDAL Connect, use a Dolby Atmos compatible mobile device paired with a Dolby Atmos enabled playback device that supports TIDAL Connect."

Hello again, the MPEG-H Audio is an audio codec, while the term “Dolby Atmos” is an umbrella term for Dolby's immersive sound experience.

These are the supported codecs: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/a7000/v1/en/contents/TP1000071010.html?search=codec

And it doesn't deny the fact that the Dolby Atmos is supported via HDMI only. So..

Hey @TheRealKjalarr

As per this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/a7000/v1/en/contents/TP1000558885.html?search=chromecast , you should be able to chromecast from Xperia 1 V as it supports Dolby Atmos , and the content itself should support Dolby Atmos too.

This is the message I got from Tidal support an hour ago

Martin L. (TIDAL)

Thank you for contacting TIDAL Support.

Unfortunately, Chromecast does not support Dolby Atmos. When playing a Master, 360 Reality Audio and Dolby Atmos track while connected via Chromecast is that it will fall back to HiFi. However, we’ll be sure your request gets in the right hands. Your feedback helps us improve and we appreciate your thoughts!

If you’re interested in a sneak peek at what’s in the works, consider joining our Early Access Program*. You’ll have the opportunity to test new features and share your feedback as we build the future of music streaming!

*Our Early Access Program is currently full for iOS users but we’re working on expanding it so more users can join. Android users can sign up here.

Thank you,

Hey TheRealKjalarr,

After checking the specs of the sound system, it looks like it supports Dolby Atmos only through HDMI, you can see here:

https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/sound-bars-home-theater-systems-sound-bars-surround-speak...

and here: https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/a7000/v1/en/contents/TP1000071011.html?search=Dolby%20Atmos%20

That actually agrees with Tidal's response.

Yeah but the chart doesn't mention that it support MPEG-H 3D Audio either but the HT-A7000 does support MPEG-H 3D Audio

Hey HannahEd01 like i wrote before the chart doesn't mention that it support MPEG-H 3D Audio either but the HT-A7000 does support MPEG-H 3D Audio through chromecast built-in in the soundbar and in supported Media for Google Cast doc it says that MPEG-H is only available through audio passthrough and so is Dolby Atmos. But I'm confused about it.
