Problems with XAV-601BT

There does not seem to be much on here about the XAV601BT but I am hoping that other owners may be able to give some input.

Have only had the unit a week but am having issues which may or may not be problems:

1. Cannot update firmware as the menu on the XAV601BT is different to that on the website.

2. The removeable face is almost impossible to remove - it needs two hands and you almost rip the whole unit out of the car! Is this normal and will it wear in in time?

3. Does anyone know if the SAT NAV module will be made available in UK? the only ones I can find are in the U.S. with US/Canadian maps.

1 - It shouldn't be although it may have been last year when you got stuck

2 - It does wear in a bit, I find the best way is to pop it and then hold the button with a yank from the half out end

3 - Why bother, Google maps is much better, plus you can get a speed cam overlay from GPSworld or use Navfree, Navfree won't stay unblocked while on the move on the screen though so you have to disable any brake wire safety functions by earthing the wire if you want video as well as sound on the move,
