Hi guys, I am in the UK and I have had many of the problems that have been identified since the 4.3 upgrade. Namely the unresponsiveness, the lag, the phone switching itself off etc. but I never noticed the flickering screen issue. I have just installed this patch and I am happy to say that first impressions are good.

My phone now responds to accessing an application, typing into a text message and the general responsiveness is excellent. I must say that I was extremley disappointed with the 4.3 upgrade and logged a complaint through the Sony support channels. I loved my Xperia SP prior to that upgrade and it looks like the phone may be back to how it was prior to the disaster.

Like I said I did not experience the screen flicker issue and this is just a report of my experience but I am one happy recipient of this patch.

but the bravia engine now working??? the ram???

I don't know about the Bravia Engine issue, what could I check to see if it's working? I also do not know how the RAM management was affected as I'm not an Android techy, all I know is that before this patch my phone was almost useless at times and after it's back to how it was prior to 4.3. But that's just coming from a general user utilising activities like browsing the web, sending messages and using apps.

Tell me how I can check the Bravia and RAM issues on my handset and I will take a look.

Look in settings/apps/scroll to the left-running tab and on the low right side will show you how much ram you git free out of 850. Bravia engine works on photos, movies. The quality is improved and visible.
