I have updated today my Sony Xperia S mobile to Android 4.0.4, everything was ok, i love it ... but my camera stopped to work. When i try to start it i got the message: "Error: Camera not available"
Does anyone knows why?
oh yeah., my bad. I forgot to warn ye.
for those having same problem
I know this going to be redundant, (did I spell it right?)
1.) clear data
2.) repair with SUS/PCC
3.) service test, dial *#*#service#*#* select service test, look for camera does it work?
4.) go to your nearest sony service center :http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
5.) any other user got to add?
Sony v chose ur product just keepin in mind our previous relation with u.
i am using K750i for last 8 years or so, and now i bought Xperia U, but just after 2-3 days i am too facing this Camera Error. plz. Solve the error as we bought this product for well known Best Clarity and Quality of Sound And Camera which is far far superior and truely uncomparable to any other market player.
so kindly Fix this Bug in next update. we dont bother abt Upgrade to Android 4 but solve this issue on priority basis. Thanx
And waiting for ur positive and early Reply.
It reinstalls current software with memory phone deletion. It gives better overall performance than a repair done with PCC.
I have found a (dummy) answer!
just goto Settings > Apps > All
and disable Xperia camera add-ons
My camera is OK after that!
Disabling camera addons doesn't work for me.
But if I manualy remove image thumbnails (DCIM/thumbnails - hidden file) and reboot the phone (imediately after removing the file) camera app will work until next reboot....
Doing it every time I reboot the phone still bugs me though. Sony should make some real fix.
