Please help.... I was playing with my phone. It has recently updated and I found all these neat things. EXCEPT daydream. I can't get in to my phone. And it won't turn off. I have project photos that have not made it to my SD card. Repairing, is not an option. Is there anything? Been crying, yes... ever since. Please....forever grateful!

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Try to press and hold both the on/off and volume up key at the same time for a while and check if you're able to reboot the phone.

Now check if the daydream feature works correctly, if not you may want to run your phone in safe mode and check if you can turn it off.
How to boot into safe mode?

If I'm not a user of a Sony Ericsson Xperia M phone, then what am I? And I have done the local help thing, and I've tried you incredulous option to hold buttons ...'for awhile'... and if that doesn't work, do a safe mode, I think you have done a disservice. I did the little trick, feeling foolish holding them for 5 minutes (timed) which did nothing to stop the flames going by, and by, and by. I can not get in to my phone, therefore can not do safe mode. Are you really satisfied with your job? If I can't get past Daydream, I can't do a safe mode!!!! Why would you siuggest that? Endless flames, or pull the battery to stop them. That's it. That's all the phone does. Maybe your community of such smart minds could give this Xperia User, what other tricks you can try

In that case try to remove the battery for 2 minutes and insert it back into the phone and power on.

If the phone still get stuck in the daydream mode I think that you may need to reinstall the phone software using SUS or repair via PCC.

Yesterday was a day of extreme anxiety.Today I have no work to go to. I have nothing of the 24 hours previous to the daydream app. Why, if this has such a bad track record, is it still in the update? I've read other post where it won't go the P version because it is volatile. Maybe it should be scrapped. If you feel my 'tone' was condescending, it was frustrated. Extremely tired and frustrated. What all will I lose?? I back up to Gmail. And because I have the 2-step, I can't get the codes to sign in because they send SMS. I've lost everything, from something that should never exist. Sorry your feelings were hurt ...
