reset security password

Dear Sir when I changed my sim card a pop up appeared in my phone asking for security password. Please tell me how to change it or remove it.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Do you recall the password? If so you can then change the lockscreen to swipe: Main Menu > Settings > Security > Screen lock > Swipe.

This is a security feature installed by networks on branded device to prevent theft - It is used by networks to stop the the new keeper changing the sim card and using it - So on this occasion you need to contact your network and if I remember right you need a code called a PUK code
