SMS smiley not working

Hi!

My new Sony Xperia Z2 got all these new smilyes ikons, but only a few are correctly shown on the phone.

I can choose the smilye I want, but when sending an SMS/MMS or writing a message on facebook, the smileys are shown in the old fashion way with characters and not "pictures". Any who know why?

Some few smilyes are correct, for example 🙂 and :-D.

It seems that sms is okay, but facebook is not okay.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

The smileys you are using is just the characters like ":-)" than the messaging app interprets these characters and changed it to a smiley instead. Not all apps/web pages interprets this characters as a smiley. If you like to use smileys on Facebook I suggest that you use the "emojis" instead. Press the smiley button on the keyboard and use the tabs above the smileys to find the emojis.
