I have the Sony Experia Ion. It is giving SAME PROBLEM. I called tech support. They suggested the same fix as above. It did NOT work for me. I am still have SAME PROBELM:

I still get same error message:

Sony Update Engine could not be installed 0x803d0020.

This is frustrating. I have installed JAVA update.

I have installed the Sony PC Companion several times.

NOTHING works. I am about ready to return this phone and get a reliable iPhone!

In another post, someone mentioned the problem is with the ISP.

That seems ridicuous.

Help. Does anyone know the answer???????

I tried all the above including java updates, SUS and PC Companion both do not work for me. Any resolution to this? I have error 0x803d0020. Also have a can not install/download "S1 Boot Download" driver error. Prevents update. Please help!
