Tablet Z2: No shut down possible - restarts again up to SONY logo

Hello,

As written in the subject my Xperia Z2 Tablet cannot shut down - it resarts again itself up to the SONY logo.

The firmware is up to date. Knows anyone a solution?

Thanks, Bernd

Try holding Volume up plus power untill you feel 3 vibrations or you may wish to consider a system repair

This will factory reset your phone

Switch off your tablet and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your tablet still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Thank you for your answers. Holding Volumne up and Start-Button forces to shut down - but I don't want to do it every time when I want to shut down the devie. My device is a new one. Before this I had a iPad3 - I never had problems like this with it.

If it's a new device try two things:

1) Software repair - connect it to computer using USB cable, open PC Companion, click on "Software is up to date" and then select Repair option. It will reflash firmware of the device and it may resolve your problem. Of course it will remove all data in the device so copy important data and do it as you didn't set up everything yet.

2) If you are able try to exchange for a different unit.

I'm using SGP511 and never had an issue with shutdown.
