Thommo, www.towelroot.com app is not requires reboot of device anymore, by the way to have move to sd card function after root with www.towelroot.com enough to install SuperSU and run normal update and all installed apps data files will be in sd card?
Arvixrise, with www.towelroot.com it must be rooted, it's tested on Xperia M with Jelly Bean 4.3 latest firmware, so for you must work too, but if you are not sure or your device is rooted or not ,you always can check that, just find in https://play.google.com/ any apps which checking is your device rooted or not, for example: Root Checker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck or SU Root Checker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pricefull.surootchecker and ect.
