xperia tipo- not able to charge

My xperia tipo dual isn't getting charged. When I connect the phone to the charger it doesn't even detect the charged is plugged in. Is it the problem of the battery ? I have charged other phones with the same charger and they worked so it isn't the charger's problem. Please tell me what to do.

Could you test a different charger and/or usb cables, if you experience the same issue then you will have to stop by your local Sony Xperia Care. also is this a wall charger or car charger?
