Hey guys, having an issue with my xz premium randomly freezing/playing up after the most recent sony software update.
Haven't noticed any rhyme or rythm to the freezes but it seems to be the system UI that is causing it. Sometimes it will semi-recover from a freeze and tell me System UI has stopped and needs to be restarted, and upon doing so, basically locks the device needing a restart (or if you leave it, it restarts itself after a few minutes). Other times it will just allow you to lock or unlock the phone but nothing else, and will require a restart (more common).
Whenever it happens the UI buttons at the bottom of the screen disappear (just a black bar) and you cannot interact with whatever is on the screen. Only the power button will do anything (turn screen on and off) or you can hard reset with power+vol up.
The phone still displays this behaviour in safe mode, and the phone still has about 50% of it's storage free, so those two common 'fixes' are out. It's only started since the most recent sony xperia update to the phone, was absolutely fine until a few days ago.
Any help?
