hi,
I just bought xperia z. But I am really disappointed about this phone's earphone low volume while call. Then I tested system settings for earphone, the test sound was very clear and pure. But I have problems about hearing call sound. Call sound looks like robotic sounds and comes really low. Please help me, how can I fix this problem. Is this problem belongs software or hardware. What can i about this annoying matter?

Please check to see if there is anything in the ear speaker section like dust, lint etc. Also please be aware that if the phone has got wet recently it can take some time to dry out before the ear speaker comes back to normal.

Are u sure? Is this known issue? What is the reason of waiting drying out the newly boughted phone? By the way the ear phone seems clear...

I think you missed the bit where I said "if the phone has recently got wet"; has it been exposed to water very recently?

No not recently, never, it doesn't contact with water or humidity.

Hi
Glad I came across this post, and also Sony Xperia Support's comment of "please be aware that if the phone has got wet recently it can take some time to dry out before the ear speaker comes back to normal"
How long are we talking exactly? My phone would have been submerged in water (just in a sink, for a couple of minutes) about a week ago. The external speaker volume is terribly low. So low that I cannot hear it ring at times, or notifications. My alarm in the morning is very quiet too. Playing videos such as Netflix and YouTube is terrible too. All my settings are set to 'loud'.
I thought this phone was supposed to be water proof and I haven't seen anything to warn us that external speaker volume will be reduced for a period of time while the phone "dries out". It's been a week, if not more! What will I do?

This is one of the issues with Xperia Z.. I also have same problem.. The speaker volume is way to low.. My Xperia Arc was much better than this costly piece... Sony please for God's sake give us a fix.. Sony is known for its sound clarity and if this is gonna be this case, no one will prefer your handsets.. Please do something ASAP..
