This is on an Xperia Z5 Compact.
Because the battery drain very fast, I switched to U.S.M. and saw/found a few interesting things.
First I realised that some of the settings stayed the same.
For this, you have to understand that under USM, there are very limited settings available.
For example, you can't chage how long the display stays on.
So while I switched on the USM to save battery, my display stayed on 30 min. because that's what it was set to. This doesn't make sense.
The second thing I realied is that Data was on.
When before setting the USM mode, it wll tell you this:
"wifi and mobile data will be disabled" yet I saw activity as the sacond picture shows.
When finding something like this, you have to go back to non USM to change it because in USM you can't. But radio and music yes?! (see icons)
So how many other things running and using battery that I don't know about?!
This takes me to my original question.
As USM gives some life to my phone (that turns off otherwise (probably leak) in 20 min. and can't be turned back on unless pluged in) what is turned off in USM? Beacuse that is what causing the problem. Not the signal to the tower or just talking.
