Hi Johan,

I am in a dilemna. I recently sold off xperia z tablet so that I can buy this wonderful phone. And just when I was on the edge of buying it. I learnt (may be rumors) that xperia z2 compact might be on its way soon. And, held back. Though, its still itching in me to go ahead and buy it. But I can wait for few of months say 2 or 3 if z2 compact is realy to be launched soon. 

Do you know anything about it? what your idea?

I wish someone would give a solution to this problem. I think you are not giving importance because users use instant messaging applications. But I guess that's another big part of who uses it, as in my case. I wanna know if you can check it again to improve the new update as soon as possible.

I just updated my Z1 Compact to the Google Android 4.4 Kitkat. Now i´m facing some issues, when sending SMS using the Spanish accents on the keyboard these become special characters and it allows me to send only 70 characters per SMS (intead of 160).

I was told to disable the UNICODE keyboard by my mobile service provider, but on my test message settings the UNICODE keyboard doesn´t appear. I was not facing this problem with other Sony models, I believe its some sort of bug with the software.

I wonder if you guys can give me a solution to this issue, as the customer support in Madrid is not able to provide me with a solution for this problem.

Just downgrade to 4.3 manually untill they release a good update coz man 4.4 **bleep** it was a googls fault

hi,

I am new tot he forum, bur have had quite a number of sony ericssons over the years , most recently the ray and then the xperia sp.  i have got the compact z1 today and had no real issues with set up.   

my question is this - on my old sony's i had the keyboard input method set to the old fashioned phonepad style but there doesnt seem to be the option for that on this phone.  have tried several methods but it just doesnt seem to be an option ,  is there a way of doing this????

It is not usefull to have the same accounts in both applications, are you agree?
