Music Center for PC - Loading

Hi,

I've had various issues with Music Center for PC since its release but after installing on a new PC build it's back to being a pain to use.

I'm using the latest version - v2.2.1.

On running the app I'm greeted with a 'Loading' message and noticeable CPU usage. The app is unusable for around 2 minutes before displaying my music content. Navigation is painfully slow and CPU usage for the process still relatively high. I've repaired the installation, uninstalled and reinstalled but the same issues are present.

Is the app still performing an initial task that I'm not allowing sufficient time for or is it just a bad app?

Any ideas?

Many thanks,

SB

MS W10 os.  New build of W10 1909 build.  Sony Music Centre loads but freezes up with very high CPU usage.

TBH I think the problem is more down to W10 than the Sony Music Centre software.

I noticed that even Firefox browser is giving high CPU usage.  This has been quite common with W10 1909 and previous incarnations. MS say the May 2020 W10 release will fix these problems.  Not holding my breath!

Windows 10 Pro 1909.

*** Windows 10 pro 21H2 OS Build 19044.2075 on a x64 i7 2.8GHz with 16 GB RAM, Music Center ver 2.5 ***

MC stuck on "loading"... Have had no luck with MC right from its very birth. Kept on coming to reinstalling the product every few months but sadly nothing has changed. MediaGo was a thousand times better!

Hey asquare3376, thank you for suggesting an alternative, I'm sure it's helpful.

But what exactly was the issue with you and MC?

I agree that the problem was probably caused by a poor version of W10 at the time.

Subsequent W10 updates seem to have resolved the issue with MC.

All seems to be working very well now.
