Broke my Sony SELP1650 lens

Really annoyed with myself do you think it is worth getting it looked at or just take my punishment and get another one. Basically it will work but sometimes gets stuck and wont retract properly, then says lens not recognised. Came with my NEX5R

Sorry to hear, I would recommend not forcing anything too much. If you purchased it locally/recently, take it back and speak to the supplier. It sounds like some sort of malfunction but wouldnt say its going to happen again and again. The 16-50 is a cracking kit lens so would say its worth trying again.
