I have a KD49XD8305 and am planning to buy a Soundbar. Can I have the TV and Soundbar play simultaneously and not only to have the Soundbar working while the TV is muted?

Hi there

The simple answer is no.

You 'could' have the TV speakers and soundbar working if connect the soundbar to the 3.5mm audio out/headphone jack - if its even possible with the soundbar you are purchasing. But to be honest, Soundbars are made to use the HDMI-ARC port or Optical 'Toslink'
