Sony XH90 rec list no longer working (switches to HDMI2 instead!)
Hi,
For some reason recently when I press the REC LIST button the TV switches over to HDMI2 (in my case an Apple TV) rather than presenting me with the TV recordings I have made. This has, for some reason, only happened recently as I've used the feature a lot.
The HDD health check option says all is well with the USB stick. TV's firmware is up-to-date.
I'm truly baffled!
Thanks.

Did you double check the software version from the support page? The TV can sometimes incorrectly report there's none.
Also, what is the model number? XH90 is the "series".

Hi,
So I've kinda found a work around. I didn't realise that you can access the HDD from the sources list so I'm doing that for now. No idea what's going on with the REC LIST button. So weird.
Ta.

Hi,
It's a KD-65XH9005. And it is up-to-date.
Thanks for the reply.

Have you tried clearing the cached data (under Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) then restarting by holding power?

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the reply. I tried that but the issue remains.
Thanks.

Have you tried the basics of disconnecting everything from the back of the TV and unplugging it for a few minutes? It really does solve more than it should. 😂

Hi JD,
Yeps, that was the first thing I did. Unplugged the HDD, unplugged the device in HDMI2 - Apple TV. Reset the telly. Same thing.
So weird.

Have you tried formatting the HDD or using a different one? I can't think of anything beyond that other than resetting the TV to factory settings, which we'd all prefer to avoid at all costs. 😅

I had weird problems when I installed a Smart Home App. It could well be an app you have recently installed or even one that has recently updated. Sounds weird I know but when I uninstalled the app my TV went back to normal functioning.
