I have the FDR-X1000V and I encountered an installation issue with Action Cam Movie Creator, whereby the installation would progress through to ~95% then fail with an error when installing Sony Home Network Library (under Windows 7 64-bit).
The cause appears to be that the installer for Sony Home Network Library is not DEP (Data Execute Prevention) safe, meaning that if you have turned on full DEP (under Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Data Execute Prevention) then this installer will fail. You can either turn it off temporarily or add an exception for SOHLib_ForPMH_x64.msi in the %temp% sub-folder that the main installer downloads and unpacks its .msi files to.
