As I mentioned in the topic, the bottom of my touch screen is not working properly. Particularly, the bottom right part of my screen. Whenever I tap on my overview button, either the one of the two apps directly above it will open (depending on whether I tapped the overview button more on the left or on the right of the button) or the letter "m" will be typed if my on-screen keyboard is out. My phone is Xperia E5 by the way.
Do I need to replace the screen of my phone in this situation? This started happening during the time when I had a screen guard on it.

Hi @ApplePajamaz, I am sorry to hear about this.
Is this behavior only appearing while using the keyboard of the phone or does it occur randomly? It would be great if you were able to test the function of the touchscreen. In order to do this, Find and tap Settings > About phone > Support > Xperia tests > Touchscreen.
Firstly I suggest that you remove any kind of case or cover from the phone in order to verify it's not interfering with the touchscreen. If this does not manage to improve the functionality of the touchscreen, I would recommend that you try to to perform a software repair using a computer and Xperia Companion. Please note though that a software repair will erase all user data, so remember to do a backup of your user data first.
If none of these measures improves the functionality of the touchscreen I suggest that you get in contact with your local support team. They can help you to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be examined and repaired as you mentioned. If you have any questions regarding the service, such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these type of questions are best answered by your local support team as well, as they vary between markets.

Hello @Martin
Thank you for replying to me. It happens randomly. Like earlier, while I was posting my first message, my overview button was already acting funny. However, at this moment while I'm typing this, it seems to be okay for now.
I also ran some test on it using Xperia tests earlier and just now. As you might already know, there were problems earlier, but there aren't anymore after I tested it just a few seconds ago. Also, I already removed the screen guard every since the screen started to become funny.
Anyway, it seems that my phone (miraculously?) fixed itself for now. I'll take note of all your suggestions though, in case it happens again. Thank you very much for finding time to assist me.
