@GiorgosTheGamer7 the issue isn't related to your Xperia phone but the Google Play Store, you can try to clear the data, caches and reset applications preferences. This is the only way it worked for me to restore Play Store functionality.
Try this, go to Settings, Applications: Search for Google Play Store -> Force Stop, Clear Cache, Clear Data.
Some people say that after that you should restart, you may want to. I never restarted the phone as immediately the Google Play Store worked normally.

No it did not work for me Xperia Z5 compact. The problem started when messenger could not be updated because of error code -505. I tried to delete it's cache and data which did not help, so I uninstalled it and now guess what - can't get it back even after stopping and deleting google play data

I'm having the exact same problem with my Xperia Z5 compact. First couldn't update FB ot Messenger, then uninstalled both, now can't install them back. Clearing caches etc. doesn't help.
Anybody got any other tips?

I found the solution. Just search for Facebook manager app on apkmirror by Samsung and install it. Now it will work!
