Seeing as this is in General Chat, I'll offer my viewpoint and take on 4K

I have not seen 4K demonstated. I am looking forward to this up-coming technology - I say upcoming, as I think its still 2-4 years away realistically (based in the few points below)

• Little benefit for viewers with less than 40" screens
• HDMI 2.0 has not been released
• Very little to no 4K media content available.
• No storage media can cope with the increased file-size (ie 300GB discs in development)
• H.265 codec still in development for streaming etc

I cannot see 4K coming to Freeview - Hopefully ill eat my words on that. (Sky/Virgin/Freesat yes)

Looks interesting, but the main sticking point for me is the cost of the television sets.

Based on current prices I've seen of £3999 - £25000 I think the 4k market will be a very 'exclusive' club.

(Unless I'm wrong about the prices and have only found the expensive models.)

For those that can afford them then great, but I would expect to be able to drive one for that money or have it take me on holiday.
