So I recently purchased a Sony A7ii with the Kit Lens (ILCE-7M2K) from Very.co.uk and applied for Cashback which I believe is around £200 for that model.
I filled out the Cashback form correctly and attached the serial number from the actual camera as an Image and the Advice Note (Invoice) which was in my parcel. The Advice Note contains the item ordered, value, my details and the date of order.
Sony then emailed me back saying that I had sent them an online confirmation rather than the Invoice and that now I am no longer valid for the Cashback scheme.
Does anyone know what I am to do in this situation when I have sent them what they wanted and they say it's incorrect?

Hi Betreff,
As far as I know, the proof of purchase should contain these details:
Invoice number
Date of purchase
Retailer name
Details of the purchase ( model name and price details; with and without VAT)
The VAT amount
The VAT number
Is that similar to what you've sent and was rejected?
Cheers,

I had no luck with Sony who repeatedly refused my claim so I went to my Retailer who the purchase contract is with and who advertised the cashback as part of the purchase price , they must honour that.
I soon received the cashback following that.
Good luck.
I am having the same issue, purchased A7iii from Very.co.uk, sony's cashback offer branded all over the entire website, I have sent Sony 2 copies of statements BOTH of which have the camera on there with payments on, my address, date of purchase, price etc etc, I've sent serial numbers, and have even spoken to Very on the phone who were baffled as to what else Sony want as that is all they issue. They sent me a VAT invoice as they do not do invoices, they do statements as you have accounts with them, and yet today that was also not good enough!
So they have had 3 types of proof of all the details and the fact I have paid and now own it, yet they dispute this.
Shocking performance from Sony and if this is what their customer service is like I already really regret buying from them.
I've been scouring message boards forever today and this is the closest I can find with Very.co.uk purchases, can anything actually be done to get Sony to pay attention?! Or is this cashback thing just a lazy scam as they're clearly doing everything in their power to avoid paying.
