I'm having problem bought a kdl 55w829b tv for just under £1000 and 2 years later the screen as picture problem and Sony are saying no warranty been quoted £800 to replace screen abuse discussed with Sony only reson I bought Sony is you expect good quality what is the point in offering 12 mouths warranty absolute joke 😡😡😡😡

Have you tried going to Curry's and going through their repair service? My friends TV which is also Sony had an issue two years down the line and paid £90; they ended up giving him a new TV in the end. Not saying that is exactly what would happen to you, but it's a possibility.
I agree, 1 year warranties are a joke and unfortunately almost all manufactuers have this as standard. I think a new law should come in and base warranty under the product type and of course price.
