Here's the comment from the jurors:

Again, there were many excellent photos from different countries. However, it can be said that this photo drew the jury's attention very early as it has something special in itself.

Aside of its great lighting effect, it also impressed especially by telling an empathetic story. You immediately dive into it. The viewer is part of the whole scene. For a photo competition, it’s a rather silent picture that does not impose with bright lights, but wants to be discovered. And that's what makes this shot so charming - you have to look closely to catch all the little details.

The reduced cool, heavy colors of the room support the severity of pots and pans, interrupted only by the glow of the fire and the red funnel on the wall. In contrast, the woman with her implied motion blur looks lighter as the steam rises from the pots.

Overall, a great, harmonious composition that has drawn the jury’s attention. Congratulations on your first place.
