auto rotation issue - xperia v

This is a new xperia v I got two days ago, first day it was perfectly fine, put it on charger, went to sleep, and in the morning I found out that it stays on landscape the whole time when I have auto rotation on, no matter what position it is on, it won't go portrait.

Can someone help me with this issue please?

the only way it will rotate is if its connected to a Dock, otherwise only apps will rotate (whenever you open them)

Apps rotate according to the phone's position, and that's what was happening the first day, then almost all the apps (Chrome - Google Play - Facebook) for example are always on portrait no matter what position the phone is on

That sounds quite strange. Have you tried to remove the battery for a while?

I didn't try that, for how long do you think I should do it?

If it all fail you can repair your phone with SUS or PCC

But what would be the reason behind that?

It's hard to say what may have caused the problem. It might been some 3rd party app acting up or something else. If it works fine now, the behavior should not get back.
