Cannot restore data from old phone?? HELP.. Please..

Hi,

I had a Xperia T and lost it last week, I have a back up file on my computer that I did with PC Companion. When my new phone arrived this morning I tried to restore this and it says the back up is not compatible with my device even though its the exact same make and model. Does anybody know what is wrong and how to fix it? I've got very important contacts on there and I don't know how to get my data back. I've tried everything. HELP!

interesting, does it has the same android version and/or build number? have you synced your contacts with google?

I'm not entirely sure, The pc companion updated automatically but i think it was before i backed up my phone and now it wont restore.. and i didnt put it google but i wish i did now

you can still restore your contacts manually
