Chinese characters

My wife has an Arc X12 and inadvertantly wnet into Chinese mode.  Through previous Q & A on this forum I managed to revert to English. Although the main problem is sorted there are annoying chinese symbols in the top right hand corner of the home page. can anyone help please?

Sorry it is the Arc LT15i.   the characters appear to the right of the battery indicator and maybe something to do with the digital clock which seems to appear in this position on images of the phone on the net

When you get into Chinese mode there are a lot of downloads sent to phone. by uninstalling all of these and then switching the phone off and back on again the chinese characters disappear and the digital clock reappears in correct mode.

are you sure it's Arc ...because Arc is LT15 but not X12???

you can go to settings>go to language (side icon have capital A and comes at 11th number from top)>there the first option is language and u can change to english...

and when you change to english then everything will be in english....

if it still shows some chinese words in top right corner then most probably it's some chinese application(dictaniory or some thing else) which is installed on your device and running in back ground... you can either configure that application or uninstall that application to get rid of that....

open the messaging app -> tap on the input box (white rectangle) -> long press on the input box -> tap on input method -> select international keyboard

the Arc was known as the Xperia X12 back in the X10 days
