today i was clearing my phone of old photos and data and when i went back to the home screen i had lost all my contacts, I had some messages still there but the contact names had gone so I re entered the names but these will not go in to the contact list i had a phone call so i entered the name of that person to and added to contacts but it is not there only in the call log. I have updated the phone and tried to to move my contacts from the sd card or sim and the phone is saying contacts added but still nothing is showing in contacts list. What am i doing wrong Please help me

open the phonebook > menu > filter > phone contact

how did you cleared your phone from old photos and data? you probably delete your contacts too, if you sync with Google

phonebook > menu > filter > google

I just deleted some old photos the went in to settings - applications - manages applications - all - then cleared the data now i have no contacts but i have imported them from the sim card and the phone says 'contacts imported' but stillno contacts on list ???????
