I would like to know how to get the Facebook application for my C510 phone. This application allows you to take a photo and upload it directly to Facebook. It is advertised here.

I updated my phone's software using the latest PC companion software but it said it was already up-to-date.

You should be OK as long as you follow the instructions. Here's a couple of options for debranding:

Using your phone's browser, go to Getjar.com and see if you can download this, or a similar application from there.

I have installed a Facebook app from GetJar but I think it is a 3rd party app and so doesn't integrate with the firmware on my phone and so doesn't give the option of uploading a photo directly to Facebook. For this functionality I think I need the firmware update.

I think the problem may be that I have the Vodafone version of the firmware. Perhaps I need to debrand the phone and install the generic firmware. Having never done this I'm worried about bricking it.
