how to enable landscape mode at homescreen?

i did ticking the auto rotate at the settings but nothing is happening, how do i enable it?

As far as I know the only way to do this is to use the SmartDock for the ion. I just got mine and it's the best thing ever. (Found it on ebay for cheaper than retail, but brand new too.) I'm not sure, but it may auto enable if you use the HDMI output too.

what GingerSnap said it's true, you can only get landscape mode on the home laucher if you connect your phone to the HDMI or while it's charging
