ICS Problem = Xperia P + TV Launcher

Hi everyone!

I have an irritating problem with my new Xperia P working on ICS 4.0.4 (6.1.B.0.544). When using HDMI cable (Sony IM-820) to connect phone with TV, the TV Launcher application starts but - phone image isn't displayed on ENTIRE TV screen! There are two pics showing this (taken by me today):

Look at the edges of TV display, guess it's displayed at native phone resolution:

Checked this with two Sony TV's (KDL-32L4000 & KDL-46HX850) and problem still exists.

In case of Sony HX850 TV - launched several videos using Wi-Fi Direct and the image is displayed on WHOLE TV screen.

But using Xperia P TV Launcher it isn't....

Checked also my device running on Gingerbread (2.3.7) before update to ICS - this problem DIDN'T EXIST.

Checked also other Sony phone (Vivaz) connecting it to two Sony TV's - it's all OK.

So guess it's a little problem with TV Launcher application... Any solutions? Thanks for your patience

Tv launcher settings has option to resize window as per our requirement just checkout in settings.

How did you get it on your phone?

new Xperia P working on ICS 4.0.4 (6.1.B.0.544).

I dont get it via the updat software on my phone

i have still 6.0.B.3.184

and the software tell me it is up to date

OK got it! There is an option in HDMI Settings while TV Launcher is enabled. Will mark as a correct answer

It depends on your mobile network operator, my operator (T-Mobile) sent me an update   you may install non-branded update (coming from Sony, not from your mobile operator) using programs such as Flashtool

OK thanks Sandy, i have only a phone ab. from t-mobile i bought me the xperia p by my self with no ab., i shall replace my current phone nokia at the t mobile site in the new one xperia p. thanks
