Lost the messaging icon on the front page

Hi

I seem to have lost the icon that takes you to your messages...that is present at the bottom

It didn't help to restart the phone and I can't restore the icon back, since it's not to be found...either at shortcuts or applications.

I have rather important message, I would like to get back!

Don't freak out 

settings > apps > all > scroll to the bottom > messaging > Enable

I deleted icons from the main panel by accident and figured I coudln't get them back but I discovered that you could open the app drawer (centre icon on the main home screen) then find messaging in the list, press and hold the messaging icon and drag it to the 'add to homescreen' bar that drops down from the top of the screen.

You can drag any item from the menu to the main screen,and also to the down bar.

I have a hawaii Y5 and the icon has gone altogether.and I done what was said above and it won't let me drag it over...I send a message from another to mine and I can't seem to get it even does its sent...any one know of what I can do to get them back....
