Memory card only 742MB on my new Xperia Mini Pro,weird!!

I just bought a brand new Xperia Mini Pro in official SE outlet. Everything is fun until I found Available space of my 2GB SD Card (which is came along bundled with the phone) in 'Storage settings' ONLY 742MB...so where my (at least) 1GB????

Does anyone ever have same experience like me?

Need advise of someone from SE about this matter. Thanks.

You can free up some space by deleting the junk.

The following can be safely deleted

- demo videos in .demovideo folder - around 160 mb

- user guide files - 500 mb free

- three trial games in TryandBuy - 185 mb free

you can also delete PC Companion for another 187 mb if you do not use it

Once you are done the total space taken on the SD card is only 263MB.

The easiest way to do this is with a card reader on the PC,, just plug it it and start deleteing.  YOu should make a backup by copying the whole card to a directory on the PC before you start in case you mess up.

Hi, for info, there are already some data saved in your SD Card when you bought the phone. You can either install a File Manager app in your phone or connect to PC/Laptop to have a look.

Some folders can be hidden in an Android file manager if the name starts with a period. You can erase all the data stored if you enter in Android settings, memory. Turn off the SDcard and then select erase or format the card.
