Hi since upgrading my Sony Xperia (Model # LT26i) to Jelly Bean Build 6.2.B.0.200 (Android Version 4.1.2) I can longer text.
Using the new message app when I click on an existing message or click the send icon for a new message I get the following error message "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped."
Any ideas to resolve this issue?
Thanks

it could be that the APN settings are incorrect or that you have an intrusive unnecessary app
taskillers
taskmanagers
antivirus
battery apps
ram apps
booster apps
uninstall them > restart your phone > try again
you can try this
settings > apps > all > messaging > delete everything
backup your sms/mms if you don't want to lose them
if this doesn't work then repair your phone with SUS or PCC

My phone already has the latest service installed.
I read you can manually update the firmware to version 6.2.B.0.211. Can you please confirm if this is now available and if so where to best download it from.
Cheers
at the bottom right corner it should say install
