Hello There,
I have purchased a new Xperia Sola a week ago and it is working fabulously. I have no complaints so far even though its
Gingerbread I am fine with it. I do look forward to ICS/Jellybean update but will talk about that some other time.
The reason I am here today is that my Xperia Sola is not detecting the pendrive when connected to it with the provided USB OTG cable.
It shows the error: The connected device is consuming too much power, hence disabled it. Please disconnect the device.
Can somebody please advise me what am I doing wrong and how can it be fixed so I can start using the USB drives with my phone.
Pendrive model: HP 8GB (v165w)
Thanks & Regards,
Deep

Try usb hub with external power connector... Don't know if it will work, but good think is try.
Also remember that not all pendrive are working with android due to different memory chips.
Thanx for advise.
I tried HP, Transcend, Sandisk pendrives n all of them shows the same error - Consuming too much power.
On youtube they just show the USB-OTG cable n pendrive thats it. There must be something else at play here. Will try to find out further.
I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXvPehEX708 though its for Xperia S but the logic is same.
Hey I am so glad to share that my Sola was working like a charm with my Logitech MK250 keyboard/Mouse when i plugged its wireless
USB transmitter to my phone.
