I use the USB cable to connect my Xperia J device to my PC so that I have access to the external SD card.
What is really strange: old data are shown.
Example:
On my SC card, there is a folder created by an app. Inside this folder, there are several XML files. My app has updated some of these files today, so they are dated 25th of July. (I have verified that with an explorer app)
However, when I connect with my PC to the SD card, the files shown are dated older, e.g. 24th July. When I copy them to my PC and open them there, the content is really old and not that one created on 25th July.
I found out that the SD card data are displayed up to date only directly after a phone restart.
Any idea what is happening here and how I am able to always see the current SD card state on my PC?

If you take a photo with the camera, does the data show up correctly? I ask this as if other applications are updating their data instantly and this one application is not, this would imply the problem is with the application and not the card/phone.

I am wondering who has read my question at all?
In almost every case it should be live/up to date data. However in this case it is likely the app itself that is not updating this data correctly. Is this a preinstalled app or a third party one?

It is an app I have downloaded from play.google.com.
How should it be possible that the app is not updating the data correctly?
I have verified this issue using a file explorer (another app). The explorer shows an updated file, on the SD card, and the app using it shows a behaviour according to the updated files.
Only my PC Explorer looking onto my SD card shows old data.

Testing the camera was a good point - the new image appeared at once in my Windows explorer.
Can you try to describe technically what is "wrong" with my other app so I can forward it to the publishers?
How is it possible for an app to update a file that a file explorer on the phone is able to "see" whereas Windows cannot?
To be honest I couldn’t tell you. I have honestly not seen that before so I can only advise describing to them exactly what is happening and they should be able to look into this for you.

Alright, thank you!
