I live in Canada and have the Xperia LT which I understand to be the T model, Canadian version on the Rogers network. Since the update to Jelly Bean I am no longer able to enter Canadian Postal Codes which include letters. I am forced to use numbers only. Is there a setting that controls this? I searched the web and this site but I do not see any other comments on this issue.

No you're not the only one, it's not possible yet,
bloody stupid oversight.
Even the Xperia Z can't do it,
Over ten days and not a single reply, maybe I was not specific enough. I updated my Sony Xperia LT30a to Android 4.1.2. I first did the update through the PC companion but it was recommended to do a full install with Sony Update Service so I did that hoping it would help. It did not, I have all the same issue and it just took up a whole lot of time plus I lost a bunch of settings even though I had backed them up. I am still experiencing a lot of the same issues that other users have mentioned including the battery drain but my specific issue is regarding postal codes. When I edit or add a new contact and then use the "Add field" button to add a postal address there is a field labeled "Postal Code". I know in the U.S. postal codes or zip codes are all numbers but in Canada our postal codes are six characters long and alternate letter number letter number letter number. I used to be able to enter the letters in that field before the update. Now when I select that field I am able to bring up the letter keyboard but the field will not accept letters, only numbers. Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

Ok so weird suggestion, what about changing the language to English UK to see if that allow you to put in alpha numeric post codes. I am casting my mind back a looooonnnnngggg time ago where people where having issues with telephone numbers having the dashes in the wrong place and it was a mix up between the language being US and UK English.
No idea if it will help, but hey.... thought I'd throw it out there!
No unfortunately not Suze, silly Sony.
Just to clarify, are you running JB or ICS? My P is still on ICS and this works fine. Oh well sometimes the left field things help and sometimes they don't!
Jelly Bean, not sure what it was like under ICS.
Ahhh, there's my answer then. Someone forgot that little tweak in Jelly Bean. I know Johann has escalated it from the other thread linked above so hopefully in the next update it will be addressed.
