Plan to unlock the bootloader version 1257-6719
Is the ability to unlock the bootloader differently?
It Will Be Possible to install vanilla android maybe locked bootloader?

You need to check if your Bootloader is unlockable by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* then choosing Service info then Configuration then at the bottom it will say Bootloader unlock allowed either Yes or No
If it says Yes then follow this link http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/unlocking-boot-loader and start reading
If it says No then there are ways to root etc so wander over to XDA to read up on how

Installing vannila android will fold a locked bootloader
I've not seen Vanilla released yet - It may get made into an ftf file which you will be able to use using flashtool - If it's an ISO or image file as some prefer to call it then it may be possible to root and install via CWM recovery however please do not quote me on that
But I will not be able to install Kernel?
